Save the date for our next Department Web Framework users meeting: Tuesday, May 24, 2016, 1:00-2:00pm in CMU 202. Anyone with a role managing content on department websites is welcome to attend.
We’ve decided to piggyback on the alumni/career panel discussion from last week’s Humanities & Social Sciences Marketing Roundtable and hold a workshop on alumni and careers website content. User research shows that when evaluating majors, students and parents are very concerned about job prospects. What kind of information are they looking for? How can you develop this content and where should you put it on your website? We’ll look at a few examples of department career pages and workshop ideas for improving them.
We’re hoping to have one or two volunteers walk us through your alumni or career sections and explain how you developed them. If you’re willing to share your experience, please let me know.
